My journey began over 30 years ago when I first discovered the power of acupuncture to alleviate pain, restore balance, and promote overall wellbeing. As someone who has always been deeply curious about the mysteries of the human body, mind, and spirit, I was immediately drawn to this ancient healing art.
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, I had a fulfilling career as an art teacher. While I loved inspiring my students to express their creativity and connect with their inner selves through art, I felt a growing call to work with people on an even deeper level. I wanted to not only help people heal from physical and emotional pain but also to empower them to live their most authentic and purposeful lives.
This led me to explore a wide range of healing modalities over the years. About a decade ago, I delved into the practice of mindfulness and found it to be a transformative tool for cultivating presence, resilience, and inner peace. I was so inspired by the benefits of mindfulness in my own life that I became a mindfulness teacher, offering classes and workshops to help others develop this powerful skill.
As I continued on my path as a healer, I was drawn to learn about other practices that could support my clients' journeys towards wholeness and balance. I studied Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of creating harmonious living and workspaces. I became certified in the use of Bush Flower Essences, a system of vibrational healing that works with the energy of flowers to support emotional and spiritual well-being. I also trained in Qi Gong, a gentle movement and breathing practice that enhances the flow of Qi (life force energy) in the body, and numerology, a fascinating tool for gaining insights into life purpose and challenges.
Through all of these explorations, what has become abundantly clear to me is the profound interconnectedness of all aspects of our being. Our physical health is intimately tied to our emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, and true healing requires us to address all of these levels. When we bring our body, mind, and spirit into alignment, we are able to access our innate wisdom, vitality, and joy.
In my acupuncture practice, I bring together all that I have learned over the past three decades to offer my clients a truly holistic and individualised approach to healing. I combine the ancient wisdom of acupuncture with the latest insights from fields like mindfulness, energy psychology, and vibrational healing to support each person's unique journey towards balance and wholeness.
